Day 1 – Cochin
Welcome to CochinAirport / Railway station. Transfer to your hotel. Kochi is a vibrantcity situated on the south-west coast in state of Kerala, Visit Dutch Palace Built bythe Portuguese and presented to the Cochin Raja in AD 1555, Jewish Synagogue,built in 1568 by the Cochin rulers were recorded and the exquisite Chinesehand-painted tiles are of interest. St. Francis Church, the Protestant churchwas built by the Portuguese in AD 1510. Santa Cruz Cathedral Roman Catholicchurch situated close to St. Francis Church. Chinese Fishing Nets at theentrance of the harbour these nets along the backwaters are a fascinatingsight. Bolghatty island a long narrow palm-fringed easily accessible from themainland. The Bolghatty Palace was built by the Dutch in 1744. Overnightstay in Cochin.

 

Day 2 – Cochin- Munnar
After breakfastproceed to Munnar, (140 Kms / 4 Hrs). Munnar is situated at an altitude of 1600mts above sea level. Munnar offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee andcardamom plantations the rolling hills, the lush mountain and the breathtakingscenery among the exotic flora found in the forests. Arrival at Munnar &Check in to the hotel. Evening free at your disposal. Overnight stay at Munnar.

 

Day 3 – Munnar
Morningafter breakfast leave for full day sightseeing of Munnar. Visit EravikulamNational Park, Where the single largest population of the endangered, endemicNilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus hylocreus) exists. Munnar has the highest Peak insouth India, Anamudi, which towers over 2695 Meter. Mattupetti, Situated at aheight of 1700 mts, is famous for its highly specialised dairy farm which isthe Indo-Swiss live stock project. The Mattupetti Lake and dam, just a shortdistance from the farm, is a very beautiful picnic spot. The sprawling Kundalatea plantations and the Kundala Lake are other attractions in the vicinity.Evening return to the hotel & overnight stay at Munnar.

 

Day 4 – Munnar – Thekady
After breakfastproceed to Thekady (Periyar) 105 kms / 4 Hrs. The drive through the Rain Forestitself is enchanting as the road winds through countryside, rich plantationsand thick jungles. Arrival at Thekady & check in to the Hotel. Eveningvisit to Spices plantation. Late evening return to the hotel & Overnightstay at Thekady.

 

Day 5 – Thekady – Alleppey
Periyar, One ofthe well known wildlife Sanctuaries in the south, attracts a large number ofnature lovers every year. Also called the Thekady wildlife sanctuary, thisplace is ideal for watching the animals in their natural habitat. There areboat services which takes the visitor around the lake. Spread over 777 sq. kmof the Cardamom Hills of Western Ghats. Early morning take a boat ride inPeriyar Lake. Visit local market famous for rubber, tea, pepper & cardamom.Afternoon proceed to Alleppy. Arrival & check into the hotel &overnight stay at Alleppey.

 

Day 6 – Alleppey
This morningvisit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in thissmall water world you will come across plenty of traditional country CraftsBoats and Canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic Lake. You mayenjoy House Boats, Fishing etc. Evenings take a stroll down the lakeside orvisit the nearby town of Kottayam. Late evening return to the hotel &overnight stay at Alleppey.

 

Day 7 – Alleppey to Cochin
Morning after breakfast proceeds to Cochin (90Km).Arrival & transfer to Cochin Railway station / Airport for onward journey.
